Nissan Juke Engine Oil Finder

The entry-level engine in the Nissan Juke offers almost everything that is currently popular in an engine in this segment. Little displacement and three cylinders, resulting in low consumption. The support of a turbocharger, which ensures good passage from low revs and a new 7-speed automatic double clutch, which can cause enthusiasm in a 1.2-ton car.

In the petrol version of the Juke the power is often lacking. The engine is not particularly good at low speeds, nor does it push particularly powerfully with its 180 Newton meters of torque. The 117 hp are not really noticeable in the driving performance, regardless of whether the optional D-mode switch is set to Eco, Normal or Sport. The Juke DIG-T 117 then accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds. In the version with automatic dual clutch and shift paddles on the steering wheel, it takes 0.7 seconds longer.

The second generation of the Nissan Juke is not slowed down by the new design, but a little by the only engine available at the market launch. With new engines, that will change and improve, as the Nissan Juke has clearly improved in terms of build quality, space, everyday utility, driving comfort, and safety and infotainment features. So: It is not only because of the design that people like to get in here.

Motor oil is a vital part of your Nissan Juke's engine. It provides the much needed lubrication to many of the internal parts of an engine. One of its key job is to prevent wear and tear on the moving parts and helps keep the engine running smoothly. Without oil, the engine would cease up almost immediately.

Regularly checking and changing your Nissan Juke engine oil is really important. Every time you start and run your car, very fine by-products from the combustion in the engine will be collected in the engine oil. This is one of the reasons why over time the oil goes black. If these contaminants build up too much and exceed the capacity of the oil it can have a negative impact on your car’s overall efficiency and actually effect its performance as it creates sludge and increased wear in the engine block.

Every engine oil will have its viscosity grade labelled on the packaging. This will look something like 0W-20, 5W-30 or 5W-40. This grading is used to measure how thick / fluid the oil is and help ensure you buy the right oil for your car. The lower the viscosity grade of the oil, the more fluid and thinner it will be than those with a high grade (higher numbers) which will be much less running and thick.

So which engine oil should you buy for your Nissan Juke? Whether you are topping up your Nissan Juke oil or doing a full change of your Nissan Juke's oil it is really important that you use the correct grade of oil.
