Dacia Sandero is a compact 'city' car from Dacia released on June 20 2008.

The Dacia Sandero is now in its third generation. The 1st generation Dacia Sandero was in production between 2008 and 2012 and was available as hatchback model. In 2012 the 2nd generation Dacia Sandero 2 (or Sander II) was launched and was produced for 8 years until 2020. More recently in 2021, the 3rd generation Dacia Sandero (Sandero III) has been available as a hatchback, based on the CMF platform.

Dacia Sandero III (Sandero 3)

The third and current generation of the Dacia Sandero has been built with a small variety of engines since 2021. While the second generation of the Dacia Sandero was offered with both diesel and petrol engines, the third generation is basically offered with a 1-litre petrol engine. As a special feature, the petrol engines are also optionally available with LPG equipment, so that these models can be driven with both petrol and the cheaper LPG.

The petrol engines with a displacement of 1 litre from the current generation of the Dacia Sandero come with an output of up to 101 hp and a top speed of 183 km/h. Although these are not sporty values, they are completely sufficient for the intended usage profile as a city vehicle. As a small car, the Dacia Sandero is a compact 4.09 meters long and 1.85 meters wide. The height is 1.5 meters and the vehicle has a wheelbase of 2.6 meters. The trunk has a capacity of at least 328 litres and with the rear seats folded down, up to 1,108 litres can be loaded. The curb weight is 1,089 kilograms. The current Dacia Sandero has been built since 2021 and basically comes as a hatchback with four doors. In addition to the basic model of the Dacia Sandero, the variant Dacia Sandero Stepway is also available. This special model is slightly higher and features some SUV borrowings such as the standard roof rails and plastic sills on the wheel arches.
