Citroen C1 Engine Oil Finder

The Citroën C1 is a passenger car from Citroën, available as a hatchback. In July 2005, the Citroën C1 came onto the market for the first time.

The Citroën C1, like its competitors the Peugeot 107, Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo, is an extremely popular and well built small car that does its job without much maintenance. However, the oil change interval must always be strictly observed so that you can keep your C1's engine healthy and running smoothly for a long time.

The C1 is available in the following series:

• 1st generation Citroën C1 I (2005-2013). In December 2008, the C1 was revised (the engine was modified for slightly better fuel economy).

•2nd generation Citroën C1 II (since 2014) available as hatchback)

For all Citroën C1 petrol models (whether it's the 1.0-litre Toyota three-cylinder or the 1.2-litre Peugeot PureTech engine), intervals of 15,000 km or 12 months (whichever comes first) are recommended by the manufacturer. Models of the first series with the 1.4 diesel engine only have to be serviced by a specialist after 30,000 km or at the latest after 24 months .

Every engine oil will have its viscosity grade labelled on the packaging. This will look something like 0W-20, 5W-30 or 5W-40. This grading is used to measure how thick / fluid the oil is and help ensure you buy the right oil for your car. The lower the viscosity grade of the oil, the more fluid and thinner it will be than those with a high grade (higher numbers) which will be much less running and thick.

So which engine oil should you buy for your Citroen C1? Whether you are topping up your Citroen C1 oil or doing a full change of your Citroen C1's oil it is really important that you use the correct grade of oil.

We have listed all the Citroen C1 models and engine types in the following table, as well as the correct engine oil grade for each of the cars. You can use the search and filter to easily find the right engine oil for an Citroen C1.
