New for Hyundai in the small car segment is a turbocharged petrol engine with three cylinders. The manufacturer builds the 1.0-litre petrol engine in three versions. Hyundai offers the variant with 100 hp for the i20 either as a conventional unit or as a mild hybrid. The third version of the 1.0 T-GDI tops off the range. The mild hybrid delivers 120 hp. In spring 2021, the Hyundai i20 N followed as the top engine with a 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder and 202 hp.
