BMW X7 Oil Type Finder

The BMW X7 G07 is an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) that has been on the market since March 2019 and is currently only available as a station wagon. In September 2017, BMW presented the BMW X7 Concept iPerformance at the IAA (International Motor Show) in Frankfurt and had a hybrid drive (electric motor & petrol engine).

In the course of its production, the BMW X7 has already had a large number of engines. Naturally, this includes both petrol and diesel engines.

All the different engines of the BMW X7 must consistently be run with an engine oil approved by the manufacturer - for example, a 5W-30 LL oil with BMW Longlife 04 approval is suitable for most X7 models.

  • 3) Then carefully fill a little engine oil (approx. 100-150ml) into the BMW X7 oil nozzle.
  • 4) Be patient now for a short time before measuring the oil level again with the oil dipstick.
  • 5) Do not start the BMW X7 again until you have ensured that the oil level is at the normal level (indicated by the markings).

What Engine Oil For BMW X7?

Every engine oil will have its viscosity grade labelled on the packaging. This will look something like 0W-20, 5W-30 or 5W-40. This grading is used to measure how thick / fluid the oil is and help ensure you buy the right oil for your car. The lower the viscosity grade of the oil, the more fluid and thinner it will be than those with a high grade (higher numbers) which will be much less running and thick.

So which engine oil should you buy for your BMW X7? Whether you are topping up your BMW X7 oil or doing a full change of your BMW X7's oil it is really important that you use the correct grade of oil.
